Privacy policy
Your Aliyah file contains some of the most personal information you own. Here is exactly what we collect through this website, why, and what control you keep over it.
Who we are
Marks Aliyah Services (Yosef Dov (Yossi) Marks) is the controller of personal information collected through marksaliyahservices.com. Contact: yossi@marksaliyahservices.com.
Legal framework
We process personal information in accordance with Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, including the Protection of Privacy (Data Security) Regulations, 5777-2017 and the obligations introduced by Amendment 13. Where a visitor is located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we also apply the GDPR / UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Consultation form: your name, email address, phone number, country of residence, the service you are interested in, your intended timeline and anything you write in the message field.
- Correspondence: emails and messages you send us and our replies.
- Technical data: basic, aggregated request and error information required to keep the site secure and working.
You are not legally obliged to provide any of this information; without it we cannot respond to your enquiry. Please do not send sensitive documents (passports, medical or financial records) through the website form — we will tell you how to transfer them securely.
Why we use it and on what basis
- To respond to your consultation request and provide the service you asked for — performance of a contract or steps taken at your request.
- To keep records of enquiries and correspondence — our legitimate interest in running the practice.
- To comply with legal, tax and professional record-keeping duties.
We do not send marketing email without your consent, and we never sell, rent or trade your information.
Who can see your information
Access is limited to Yosef Dov (Yossi) Marks and, where strictly necessary, service providers who host our website, database and email delivery under confidentiality and data protection commitments. Some of these providers store data outside Israel; transfers are made only to jurisdictions or arrangements offering adequate protection. Information is submitted to Israeli government bodies only with your instruction, as part of the file we handle for you, or where required by law.
Security and retention
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, held in an access-controlled database with row-level protection, and reviewed periodically. We keep enquiry records only as long as needed for the purpose above and for the retention periods required by law, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Privacy Law you may inspect the information held about you, request that inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information be corrected or deleted, and object to certain uses. If the GDPR applies to you, you also have rights of erasure, restriction, portability and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to yossi@marksaliyahservices.com. We will reply within the time limits set by law. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority, or to your local supervisory authority in the EU/UK.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We store your accessibility preferences locally in your browser so the site remembers them; you can clear them at any time from the accessibility panel or your browser settings.
Changes
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The version published here is the current one; it was last updated in August 2026.
